June Gloom looks to return before the weekend

The afternoon breeze is still there but ramping down by the day.

Today was pretty warm actually with Paso Robles and the rest of the interior in the lower 80s with coastal valleys in the lower 80s with beaches in the 60s and 70s.

Winds go light and variable Thursday into Saturday thanks to a combination of a flat ridge in the upper atmosphere and a surface trough created by heat in the valleys, this will produce the light winds and inversion cap which promotes stubborn beach fog.

Some partial clearing will happen day to day Thursday thru Saturday but beach and coastal valley temps will cool. Beaches will see highs in the low to mid-60s.

We weak front passes thru the area Sunday into Monday and might create a little coastal drizzle. It'll crank up the winds and create a little better clearing Monday.
