Looks like we are locked in to the pattern of night and morning marine low clouds with clearing during the afternoon near the coast. Inland temps are starting to go up thanks to some slight decrease in the height of the marine layer.
Today's high temperatures reached the high-80s in the inland valleys, while the coastal valleys hit the high-70s. The light southerly to northwesterly winds kept the beaches in the 60s.
Stronger afternoon northwesterly winds will produce a greater amount of clearing in the coastal regions on Saturday which will continue through next week. Otherwise, typical summer weather will continue through the end of July.
