There is a weak trough of low pressure over the Central Coast, this has resulted in some weak onshore flow and a deep marine layer.
The marine depth was deep enough this morning to get cool air into the interior as well and temperatures really dipped.
This trough lingers thru the weekend for night and morning cloudy skies with areas of mist and drizzle, while it is possible at most coastal locations the best chance is on south faces and also further south on the Central Coast. The highest accumulations are likely less than .10" and most places likely don't get anything measurable.
Interesting weather develops early next week in Southern California. A deep interior diving trough backs into California. In Southern California there will be some winds higher than 40mph with very dry air, this has already produced some fire weather watches.
Locally there will be some stronger offshore winds Monday but looks like the winds turn more NW in the afternoon and evening. Local temps will come up to above average but not extreme. The higher winds will also mix out clouds.
