California State Parks is moving forward with a new lifeguard tower project on Pismo Beach.
Work on the project started a few years ago.
The goal is to provide year-long life guarding facilities for staff.
The tower will give an elevated platform for staff to use during non-summer months, and it will also have a restroom.
