San Luis Obispo police will be holding a class to help people understand active shooter situations.
It’s part of a series of PEACE (Policing Education and Community Engagement) Program classes meant to teach the community about what the police department does.
The two-hour talk titled "Active Shooter: Understanding the Dynamics of an Active Shooter Event" will be held on Monday, April 23 starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Copeland Health Education Pavilion at French Hospital.
The talks are limited to the first 120 people, so early registration is urged. Click here to sign up.
The topic of the next class in July will be the police complaint process.
