50 motorcyclists rode 80 miles across the Central Coast Sunday in honor of Matthew Frank, known to many as the SLO Stringer.

Frank used his social media page to highlight the work of local first responders. He died last year in a car accident on his way to a structure fire in Atascadero.

"One of the things that Matt and I could really agree on was community, I really liked to help people out and that was where he and I really saw eye-to-eye, helping people out," said Justin "Bubba" Murphy, organizer of the memorial ride.

Friends and family of Frank gathered in San Luis Obispo to ride through Santa Margarita along Highway 41 to Morro Bay and back to San Luis Obispo.

The ride ended at Laguna Lake where Frank’s friends and family made barbecue for all the attendees.
