Cottontail Creek Road near Cayucos is open again following the construction of a temporary bridge.
The road was closed last month when a 6-foot drainage culvert, about three miles west of Old Creek Road, was damaged during a storm. The damage caused the embankment above the pipe to erode and make the road impassable
The temporary bridge will allow cars and light trucks to access the area.
San Luis Obispo County officials say engineers are working on a long-term fix.
The temporary bridge on Cottontail Creek Road has been completed, and the road is open! A big thank you to the crews who worked so hard to make this happen. pic.twitter.com/MaKknOeXjI
