The large warehouse fire that started on Monday in Santa Maria at 1298 West Stowell Road still has an unknown origin.
The Santa Maria Fire Department said that they ruled out any accidental cause for the warehouse fire, however they are not yet ready to call the fire Arson.
There was no gas, power, or hazardous material within the building that could have ignited the flames.
According to fire investigator Larry Cummer Ford the fire’s origin was near the front corner of the warehouse that contained 50 thousand plastic containers.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious within the area of Stowell Road between Blosser and Hanson Road from 3:00 to 4:45 p.m. to contact Fire Marshal Darrel Delgado at (805) 925-0951 ext.1578.
