A new Peoples’ Self-Help Housing development is opening in downtown Santa Barbara.
Jardin de las Rosas is located on the 500 block of North Salsipuedes St. and will provide 40 affordable rental apartments with one, two and three-bedroom plans.
There will also be supportive services for parents who need childcare when they are at work.
The housing complex is one of the first projects in Santa Barbara approved through the new City Outreach Ordinance.
The Learning and Childcare Center is being funded by local organizations.
