San Luis Obispo County supervisors will vote next week on a new health agency director.
They will be considering Michael Hill for the job.
If approved, Hill will take over for Jeff Hamm who resigned.
The health agency director oversees the Mental Health Department, which has come under fire following the high-profile deaths of two jail inmates, both of whom suffered from mental health issues.
Hill is currently the public health administrator for McHenry County in Woodstock, IL.
His yearly salary in San Luis Obispo County would be nearly $250,000.
