The California Highway Patrol has identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash in Nipomo Wednesday evening as Andy Ismael Castillo, 34.
Officers say Castillo, of Santa Maria, was heading east on Los Berros Road just west of Highway 101 at about 7:40 p.m. when he lost control around a curve causing his 2005 Yamaha R6 to overturn.
Castillo was ejected and although he was wearing a helmet, according to CHP, he died at the scene.
Drugs or alcohol are not suspected as factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
No other vehicles were involved.
