Portions of Bridge Street in Arroyo Grande will be closed on Thursday, May 3 in order for the city to conduct routine repairs.
Crews will be "potholing" the bridge segment of the street. The public works department described this as the process of opening a hole in the asphalt and removing the lower layer. This will allow personnel to record the location and depth of utility lines under the street.
Once the inspection is finished, crews will fill the holes with new asphalt.
Public works said the road will be closed, one side at a time, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
