Residents enjoyed the 12th Annual Cactus and Succulent show in San Luis Obispo on Saturday, hosted by the Central Coast Cactus & Succulent Society.
The event takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Ludwik Center. The show and sale are both open to the public with no admission charge.
While the crop isn’t popular to eat, attendees say they make a great table accent or art piece.
"Most people are very amazed when they view our show because the plants aren’t what they expect, they’re very unusual, and they’re the highest quality plants in the nation," said Rob Skillin.
Doors open for the show at 10:00 a.m.
