A popular Mexican restaurant in Shell Beach was vandalized overnight and it was all caught on camera.
Surveillance footage shows a man walked up to the covering outside of Zorro’s Cafe. He then slashed it multiple times, possibly with a knife.
The owner of the restaurant, Eric Landrigan, says he feels violated and has never had an incident like this happen before in their 14 years of business.
"We’re hurt that there are people in the community that would do this to us or to any other establishment or any other person," Landrigan explained. "We just don’t know why this comes over people to want to act out and we really would just like to know why somebody would target us."
The owner has filed a report with police.
He adds that the covering went up at the beginning of this year. The damage is estimated to be between $2,000 to $5,000.
