Paso Robles Firefighters have extinguished a fire that sparked at Highway 101 and 24th Street, near the riverbed.
Firefighters said at approximately 9:20 p.m., they got reports of the fire burning at the highway. When they arrived on scene, they found a 50 x 100 ft. vegetation fire burning around trees and brush in the riverbed. They were able to contain it within 15 minutes and fully extinguish it by 11:30 p.m.
Firefighters said residents should have proper vegetation clearance around their homes, heading into peak fire season.
