The owners of Idler’s Home in San Luis Obispo is asking for the public’s help to identify two people they say used fraudulent credit cards to steal thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise from their business.

Don Idler says two men came into the store Monday afternoon and used credit cards to purchase about $12,000 in appliances, furniture and other items.

A surveillance picture of the men Idler’s says is responsible for the thefts as they entered the business Monday.

Idler says the men had driver’s licenses that match the names on the credit cards, but that the store was notified by the credit card company on Tuesday morning that the cards were no good.

Idler says the men gave a Pismo Beach address that they later discovered belonged to a different customer. He says the phone number they listed was bogus.

The merchandise and appliances were loaded up into a U-Haul Monday the men provided following the purchase, according to Idler. They haven’t been seen or heard from by store employees since.

Idlers released three surveillance pictures of the men they say are responsible.
