Results: Two SLO County Superior Court judge races

UPDATE (12:45 a.m.) – The final election night update shows Baltodano leading in the office No. 2 race with 31,462 votes to Cadena’s 16,799 votes.

In the office No. 4 race, Covello leads with 32,838 votes to Funke-Bilu’s 18,077 votes.


There are two contested races for San Luis Obispo County Superior Court judge seats in the June 5 Primary Election.

Deputy District Attorney Andy Cadena is running against incumbent Superior Court Judge Hernaldo Baltodano for office No. 2. As of 11:30 p.m., Baltodano was leading at 65.43 percent. Only 104 of 144 precincts were reporting. 

Superior Court Commissioner Tim Covello and attorney Ilan Funke-Bilu are competing against each other for office No. 4. That seat is being vacated by Judge Barry LaBarbera. At about 11:30 p.m., results showed Covello with 64 percent of the vote.
