Hundreds of people in Atascadero were without power late Wednesday and PG&E said they could stay in the dark until the sun comes up.
The power went out for 428 customers west of Chalk Mountain Golf Course at 11:08 p.m., according to PG&E’s online Outage Center.
The estimated restoration time was said to be 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
PG&E said the cause of the outage was "planned maintenance in the area."
A message on the Outage Center site says PG&E has assigned a crew to assess the outage.
