A special room for animal therapy was dedicated Friday at a local animal shelter.
The special spot is called "Caleb’s Corner" to ensure local shelter animals are loved.
Caleb Cruse was a young man who died of congenital heart and lung issues last year at the age of 22.
Cruse was a passionate animal advocate who loved coming to the shelter to visit the animals.
"It is a place where we can honor him by having a sitting room; a place where the dogs and cats can come to enjoy the company of our staff and other volunteers," said Stacy Silva, with the Santa Barbara County Animal Services.
Cruse volunteered for seven years and cared deeply for the animals he took care of.
