‘Summer Reading Program’ kicks off

San Luis Obispo County Libraries kicked off theirSummer Reading Program

Each year more than 5,000 children participate in the program and typically read more 33,000 books. 

The reading program is free and anyone can participate. Kids can sign up, read books and earn prizes. Children can also get free lunch every day at the libraries in Morro Bay, Nipomo and San Luis Obispo. 

There will also be events for English and Spanish speakers during the week.
