Lockheed Martin set to close SLO facility, dozens laid off

Global security and aerospace company Lockheed Martin will close its San Luis Obispo facility this summer.

The company is conducting three waves of layoffs with finals cuts to be made by July 12.

KSBY News has been told a total of 59 people will be let go.

The reason for the closure is unclear. Lockheed did not respond to a request for comment.

?Revasum — a local tool manufacturing company — is holding an event on Wednesday to specifically help the impacted employees.
