Board of supervisors approves increased fees for Laguna County Sanitation District customers

The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday to pass an ordinance raising service charges and fees for residents and businesses served by the Laguna County Sanitation District.

The sanitation district provides wastewater services to customers in Orcutt and unincorporated areas of Santa Maria.

Service charges will increase by 2.8 percent, or $27.50, to $1,009.49 per year for a typical user; connection fees will increase from $7,219 to $7,457; and, trunk fees will increase from $1,024 to $1,058.
