The Lion’s Club of Arroyo Grande donated $5,000 to the Arroyo Grande Police Department on Thursday.
The money will specifically go towards "Tig" the K-9 dog in terms of food and care.
"These dogs save lives they save policeman lives they find the bad guys they sniff out drugs I said this would be great to do something like this," said Mike Finazzo Vice President of the Arroyo Grande Lion’s Club.
The Canine Training Program serves the entire Arroyo Grande community.
