CAL FIRE plans to burn approximately 290 acres of grass and brush at the shooting range located on Highway 1 between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay on Wednesday, June 27.
The burn will take place along the north side of Highway 1 at Gilardi Road.
People in the area may notice smoke between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
CAL FIRE says the goal of the burn is to reduce the fire hazard and provide training for firefighters.
