Young entrepreneurs show off their own businesses at Cuesta’s College for Kids
The program is designed to give enriching opportunities for students going into 5th grade through 9th grade this fall.
The College for Kids website said the curriculum meets the needs of every student and encourages them to explore subjects in a fun and educational way.
The Kids in Business class sale was on Tuesday. Students were able to sell their business products to community members.
Haydn Green was one of the kids enrolled in the class, he was selling candles.
He said he joined the class to learn how to start his own business.
"I’m learning how to make a business so if I grow up and I want to be a businessman I could do it," Green said.
He said he joined the class to see how it felt like to have a business and now it is one of his favorite classes.
This program has two sessions over the summer, one from June 18 to July 5 and one from July 9 to July 25.
There will be a second Kids in Business sale in a few weeks.
