Get paid to replace your wood-burning stove or fireplace in SLO County

If you have a wood-burning stove or fireplace in your home, San Luis Obispo County officials will pay you to change it. 

The SLO County Air Pollution Control District is accepting applications now to receive up to $4,000 to update fireplaces and stoves with new, cleaner burning devices like EPA-certified wood stoves or natural gas or propane heating devices. 

To apply, you must live in San Luis Obispo County. Officials say preference will be given to low-income households through August 31. Other residents could quality for up to $2,000.
