Today was another hot day for the Central Coast but already the marine layer is returning and temperatures are set to cool significantly Wednesday.

Onshore winds will be the reason cooler temperatures arrive along with the coastal clouds.  The good news is that it looks like this is the pattern for most of the rest of the work week with perhaps some warming into the weekend, but no extreme heat in the forecast.  There may be a bit more humidity in the air but most pronounced in the southern part of SB county.

The high clouds are making for some spectacular sunsets locally but to our east some thunderstorms are possible, especially over the Sierra.  Arizona has seen a number of flooding storms and haboob dust storms.  That kind of activity is not expected to make it this far west.
