California Highway Patrol made a fan out of a little fawn in Northern California.
Officers from San Francisco were stationed in Redding to help firefighters battle the massive Carr fire when they found a baby deer struggling to escape burning bushes. They pulled the animal out before it was injured.
A photo take with the baby deer seems to show it was thankful for its rescuers and may have made a new friend.
City cops in the country! SF CHP deployed to the #CARR fires in Redding. Not sure we know what we’re doing in this pic but baby deer pulled from fires and turned over to rescue org. God speed @CAL_FIRE and all other agencies providing mutual aid. You are truly the Bravest. pic.twitter.com/husveKt7iP
