An annual surfing event for disabled adults and children is about to start.
AmpSurf holds the Operation Restoration event in Pismo Beach every year. Competitions start Friday and continue through Sunday. 20 warriors and family members from around the country will be surfing, kayaking, canoeing and more.
Instructors will also be giving surf lessons to disabled adults and children. Those who participate say it’s a great way to stay active and to overcome challenges.
Organizers held a welcome banquet dinner on Thursday night.
