The San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors approved a new planning director’s employment contract Tuesday.
In a 5-0 vote in July, Trevor Keith, a senior manager for the county was chosen to lead the Planning and Building Department.
The employment agreement was approved Tuesday morning by the Board of Supervisors. Keith will officially start the position on Wednesday.
"Trevor’s decade of senior management experience in our county’s Planning and Building Department combined with his integrity and commitment to service make him an excellent choice for the county’s next planning director," said Wade Horton, the county administrative officer.
Keith will oversee more than 100 employees and a budget of at least $19 million.
