The Santa Maria Library will celebrate its 110th birthday next week.
Both the bookstore and café have been closed for months during renovation, and store officials say they are finally ready to reopen.
The library is opening a new bookstore called the Library Shop on Monday.
People will be able to buy books or donate books from a selection of books.
The café will also reopen under the new operation of Moxie café.
"I think that it’s invigorating and that it’s a lot of opportunity for us to try some new things," said Mary Housel, a city librarian.
The Santa Maria Library will also have an outdoor patio where people can enjoy a book in the open air.
