Downtown SLO is looking for an artist to design the poster for this year’s Holiday Parade.
The 43rd annual Holiday Parade will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018. Starting at 7 p.m., dozens of decorative floats, vehicles, marching bands, dancers, and more will snake their way through downtown San Luis Obispo.
This year’s theme is "Vintage Holiday."
Downtown SLO is now soliciting artists who can incorporate that theme into the Holiday Parade poster. Hundreds of the posters will be placed around San Luis Obispo County and the artwork will be used on digital and print advertising, signage and other marketing efforts.
The 11"x17" design must include elements or concepts incorporating the following:
- Theme
- Color
- All-age appropriate
- Non-denominational
Written proposals and sketches must be submitted to Rachel@DowntownSLO.com by Aug. 31, 2018 at 4 p.m. Visit the Downtown SLO website for the complete rules.
The chosen artist will receive a $500 stipend for the project.
