Emergency crews responded to a surf rescue along the coast of Cayucos Tuesday afternoon.
It happened at about 3 p.m. in the water off Pacific Ave. and 10th Street.
According to Cayucos Fire, the victim was not visible from shore when emergency crews arrived at the scene. A responding boat from Morro Bay Harbor Patrol located the surfer about 150 yards from the beach.
That person was transported to a local hospital. Their condition was not immediately known.
No other details were released.
