The Echo homeless shelter is hosting the Long Walk Home march in an effort to raise awareness of homelessness in the San Luis Obispo County.

The organization said the march represents the walk the homeless population makes every day in their search for permanent housing.

The event starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Echo building, goes to the Rotunda Building in Sunken Gardens and then returns back to the Echo campus.

Anyone who participates can enjoy music, food and a tour of the Echo building.

Tickets for adults are $25 per person, tickets for kids over 5-years-old are $10. They can be purchased at Echo Shelters website.
