A major Central Coast hospital is turning to technology in the operating room.
Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center tested its new surgical robot Wednesday. KSBY got an inside look at how robotic-assisted surgeries are different from traditional surgery, as well as how this could impact future healthcare.
The robot is called the Da Vinci Surgical System. The hospital says it helps with minimally-invasive procedures. It can help surgeons operating in the areas of Gynecology, Urology, Cardiac, and general surgery.
