A woman was reportedly taken to the hospital in critical condition Wednesday morning after jumping off the Curbaril Ave. overpass in Atascadero.
It happened at around 10:30 a.m.
City officials say the woman stopped her car on the overpass and jumped onto the northbound lanes of Highway 101.
A CAL FIRE employee driving northbound at the time was one of the first people on scene and called for help over the radio.
The woman was reportedly alive when emergency crews rushed her to the hospital but her current condition is unknown.
No other details were available.
