Splash Cafe is celebrating after placing in the International Flavor Awards 2018.
The Central Coast restaurant and bakery earned a 2018 Spicy Flave Award in the Condiments-Seasonings-Dry rubs: mild/medium category. Restaurants from seven countries competed. Splash Cafe’s Beach BBQ blend ranked third in its category.
The International Flavor Awards are for specialty, craft-made and artisan food manufacturers. This was the first year Splash Cafe entered in the competition. The company, which has locations in San Luis Obispo and Pismo, hopes to enter in future competitions and bring back more awards.
