The Paso Robles Police Department and the Atascadero Police Department are conducting DUI checkpoints Friday at undisclosed locations.
The checkpoint in Paso Robles will be between 6 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday.
People driving in Atascadero could see the checkpoint between 6 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday.
A press release sent out by both police departments said California has seen a disturbing increase in drug-impaired driving crashes.
The police departments want to remind drivers that a DUI doesn’t mean just alcohol, taking too many prescriptions drugs or marijuana can result in a DUI.
