A Goleta woman won big on "Jeopardy!" Tuesday night and will be back on the show Wednesday.

Lori Goodman is a non-profit executive from Goleta.

Tuesday night, she was up against a three-time champion and another contestant.

She told show host Alex Trebek a story about her first date with her husband and falling in love despite being opposing Dodgers and Giants fans.

Goodman held a slim lead going into the "final Jeopardy" round. Contestants faced a question about design, which they all got right, but Goodman wagered just the right amount.

"It all depends on Lori Goodman, she had the lead," Trebek said just before Goodman’s answer was revealed. "Will she retain the lead! She has $19,000. She will add $15,401. She is the new champ with $34,401. Alright Lori, way to go!"

Goodman will be back on the game show Wednesday to defend her title. She could come back later this season, when "Jeopardy!" brings back some of the top winners to compete in an all-star game.
