A Santa Barbara teenager is the definition of a Good Samaritan.
16-year-old Rhami Zeni recently found a purse in the middle of a road. When he looked inside, he found $10,000. Instead of taking the money, he immediately took it to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were able to track down the woman who lost it.
"The way I thought about it, it’s the right thing to do if you find a purse. Find the owner, contact them, and especially if the roles had been reversed, I would have really wanted to find whatever object I lost if it had a lot of my valuables in it," said Zeni. "I hope that if that ever happens to me, that whoever finds what I lose does the same thing."
The woman who owned the purse said she was touched by Zeni’s gesture, and she gave him $100 as a reward.
