About 1,000 bicycle riders participated in the San Luis Obispo Bicycle Club’s (SLOBC) annual Lighthouse Century Bike Ride Saturday.
The bike ride started at 7 a.m. and finished at about 5 p.m.
Participants took off on Highway 1 from Morro Bay High School to Lago Giuseppe Winery, then they turned around and headed back to the high school.
Most of the people who participated were experienced riders who observed traffic laws. The SLOBC have seven vehicles on the road to help riders with mechanical problems and transportation if they needed it.
