Residents at the Manse on Marsh participated in an emergency preparedness drill on Tuesday.
The drill was scheduled to teach people about what to do should the facility need to evacuate under urgent circumstances.
San Luis Obispo Police officers and local paramedics were there to help.
The Manse on Marsh said it planned the drill to emphasize safety for all of its residents. Administrators say they hope residents and staff now feel better prepared for an emergency.
“I think this is an excellent exercise,” said the Manse on Marsh CEO Logan Sexton. “This demonstrates our ability to serve our residents well. We are safety-minded here.”
The residents took transportation off the property to finish the drill and were taken to the Embassy Suites for a reception to thank them for their cooperation.
