Santa Maria police issued several alcohol-related citations Wednesday night.
Police tweeted that four people had been cited for drinking alcohol on private property that is open to the public.

Shortly after, police tweeted that two other people had been cited for consuming alcohol on private property that is open to the public. Police say it is a municipal code violation.

A seventh person was cited earlier in the evening for drinking in public and for being in possession of drug paraphernalia.

The police department’s Community Services Unit was dispatched throughout the city to crackdown on this type of crime. Police say the funding came from the California Alcoholic Beverage Control and the Alcohol Policing Partnership Grant.
