Hundreds lose power in Santa Barbara area

Hundreds of people were without power Monday morning in Santa Barbara.

According to Southern California Edison, as of 8:51 a.m., 357 customers were in the dark near West De La Guerra and Bath streets. It was unknown when power would be restored there.

Nearby, in the area of Chapala and De La Vina streets, 413 people were without power. Restoration was expected by 12:30 p.m.

Off of Highway 154, 14 customers were reportedly without power. Restoration for them was expected by 11 a.m.

The causes of all three outages were listed as equipment problems.
