Tuesday is the last day for Oceano residents to add input on the new community plan.
A group of Cal Poly graduate students is helping draft Oceano’s new general development plan.
One Cal Poly professor says Oceano hasn’t updated its general plan since the 90s.
General plans give guidance on how and where communities should develop. They are required by state law.
Students are offering three options: keep things the way they are now, limit development to the downtown area, or find areas where the community can expand if needed.
The fourth and final meeting is Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Oceano Community Services District Board Room, located at 1655 Front Street.
