The new chief of the San Luis Obispo City Fire Department has been officially sworn in.
Keith Aggson was sworn in at the city council meeting Tuesday night.
Aggson has been serving as the interim chief since the former chief, Garret Olson, retired in October 2018.
Aggson brings more than 30 years of fire service experience to his new job. He has been with SLO City Fire as a deputy fire chief since January 2017.
