March Madness costs employers billions of dollars in revenue due to unproductive workers

March Madness is taking over the country and employers are having to pay for the price for the lack of productivity in the office.

Wallethub estimates employers face up to $4 billion in corporate losses due to unproductive workers keeping up with the college basketball tournament in the office.

The games also take from the wallets of fans as well, as the average bet made on each NCAA game ranges from $20 to $50.

There is about a 20% increase in beer sales and chicken wing orders during March Madness.

The championship game is scheduled for April 8.
