Five Cities Fire Authority and Cal Fire SLO responded to a car fire off Highway 101 and Grand Avenue Sunday afternoon.
According to CHP’s incident information page, the call came in just before 3:00 p.m. At least one lane of the southbound lanes was blocked as crews worked to put out the flames, which spread into some vegetation.
Several residents reported seeing heavy smoke billowing from Highway 101.
Occupants of the vehicle got out of the car and did not sustain injuries, fire crews say.
