The City of Santa Barbara will begin its Mission Canyon Bridge studies at Rocky Nook Park Thursday afternoon.
The public can walk or bike to the park and attend the meeting that will start at 3:00 p.m.
Officials say the bridge is deteriorating, lacks earthquake retrofitting, and has poor sight lines for drivers, among other issues.
The city will begin the studies to uncover potential solutions.
The kick-off meeting will be the start of a three-year project.
