The Santa Maria Valley Strawberry Festival kicks off on Friday.
You can check out carnival rides, live music, cooking demonstrations, a monster truck show and, of course, strawberry tastings.
The Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum will also be there, showing people how to conduct strawberry-related experiments.
“It’s all about the strawberries and this year we have an abundance of strawberry vendors – a lot more being featured. We have things like strawberry corn dogs, strawberry nachos, strawberry tamales, so there’s a lot to try this year,” said Shelly Cone, Santa Maria Fairpark Public Information Officer.
The Santa Maria Valley Strawberry Festival takes place April 26-28 at the Santa Maria Fairpark, located at 937 S. Thornburg St.
